Review: The Betrayal of the Blood Lily

March 25, 2011

The Betrayal of the Blood Lily (Pink Carnation, #6)The Betrayal of the Blood Lily by Lauren Willig
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another wonderful addition to the series. The Marigold is the central spy in this Pink Carnation novel but the focus moves to India and Penelope Devereaux Staines. Who can resist her tortured soul and unhappy life when she tempts every man around her and uses her brain on a regular basis? Loved her and Captain Alex Reed and how they emerged in this novel with a emotional conundrum to figure out who is or is not a traitor. The sections with Eloise and Colin are lovely as always and opens up some great new fun with the Selwick family coming together and meeting the elusive Caroline Selwick. A re-read is not far away for me.
