Review: The Meowmorphosis

May 12, 2011

The Meowmorphosis (Quirk Classics)The Meowmorphosis by Cook Coleridge
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Very cute and I enjoyed it much more than I did the original Metamorphosis. Coleridge Cook does a great job of translating Kafka’s bug into an oh so precious fluffy kitty and how it changes everything. The inclusion of Prague and bits of The Trial was fantastic and quite inspired as there isn’t too much in the original novella. But my favorite part was the new biography of Kafka with all of the Whedon references, cat sightings, and tongue in cheek observations about Kafka himself. Another lovely novel from those at Quirk Books.
