Review: The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes

The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (The Oxford Sherlock Holmes)The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another beautiful addition to the series with the twist ending. In this collection, we get a glimpse at Professor Moriarty and some very interesting cases. I enjoy the short stories and the quick wrap up where everything you didn’t pay attention to before come back and tell you that this was the entire problem solved. But how can our beloved Sherlock be gone… oh wait he shall return!!!

Hey, since you’re on a classic mysteries kick, have you ever read Dorothy Sayers? The first couple of books in her Lord Peter Wimsey series (published from the twenties through the forties, I think), are in public domain ebooks, and they’re kinda fun, like Doyle mixed with Wilde, though a little simpler to figure out what’s going on.
