Review: Fifty Shades Darker

May 13, 2012

Fifty Shades Darker
Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Much better than the previous book in the series, E.L. James has improved her writing skills immensely. The story has moved onto crazy ex-submissives, jealous ex-dominants, and a relationship moving forward. I felt much more engaged with Ana and Christian in this book as their characters has grown and the back story has been exposed. We know more about Christian and his life before being adopted by the Greys and how it has now affected him. The love between the two of them progresses at quite a rapid rate but I would see this as a romance novel and suspension of disbelief is necessary. Still good sex scenes and nothing too far down the BDSM scale. A quick trashy read if that is what you are craving.
